Alpenglow Readiness

JPool is ready for Solana's Alpenglow upgrade. Alpenglow drops vote credits and on-chain voting fees, so validator pages, reports and tools now show what replaces them.

  • Credits Ratio shows how much of its possible inflation rewards a validator actually earns, next to the cluster mean and median. It replaces the vote credits (TVC) chart, and the rank based on it is now Credits Rank.
  • Voting admission shows whether a validator is admitted to vote in the current and the next epoch, and why if it is not. A validator left out earns no rewards for its delegators in that epoch.
  • The Validator Admission Ticket (VAT), 0.8 SOL paid each epoch to stay in the voting set, now appears as a cost in reports, the income chart and the profit calculator instead of voting fees.
  • A warning next to the vote account balance shows when it may not cover the ticket for the coming epochs.
  • The SFDP vote credits requirement is shown as waived, as the Solana Foundation does.

Epochs before the switch keep their TowerBFT metrics.

Wallet Binding Recovery

You can now bind or unbind a wallet by signing a message or sending a transaction with a memo, which helps with hardware wallets such as Ledger. If your wallet does not support message signing, you can send the memo transaction from the error dialog.
